Before you read my brief bio, I’d love for you to know this first…
I’m the daughter of a King who loves me unconditionally, and out of this live, I am a devoted wife to an incredible husband who loves me bunches, an absolutely committed mother of four boys and a confident & courageous woman who understands her assignment to pursue life to the full.
So if you don’t remember anything else about me, like where I grew up or what college I attended, will you please remember those attributes? They are what keeps me, “All In!” Now to the bio…
Melanie E. Scott is the grateful wife to her husband, Anthony, and mother of four homeschooled sons, AJ (15), Christian (14), Jason (9) and Justin (7). She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, where she received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Electronics Technology.
Melanie started her career as a software engineer at International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation. Early in her tenure, she discovered her niche in project management, leading project teams across the globe. In May 2009, Melanie transitioned from IBM, taking one of the biggest leaps in her life to become a full-time domestic engineer.
As a daughter of youth ministry leaders, Melanie cultivated a passion for student development atan early age. From serving at inner-city summer camps at nine years old to the Girl Scouts’ Power of Girls as a young adult, Melanie invested her time into numerous organizations relative to the advancement of middle and high school students. From 2006-09, she served as the coordinator and curriculum developer for a proactive youth developmental process that equipped young men and women to become positive global contributors. These, and countless other experiences, prepared Melanie for the journey of homeschooling.
Melanie and her husband committed themselves to homeschooling in 2011. Having anchored her confidence with life experiences and research, Melanie brought varied teaching methods (such as Montessori) and a holistic enrichment mindset to the table. Her lessons learned and successes have resulted in what started out as a trial the first year becoming a lifestyle with no regrets. She is unapologetically devoted to the whole development of her sons.
